We're in slack, join here if you want!

And try the episode, at least minute 5 – minute 18. Also, MUST WATCH dog show at minute 56-58 🐶. And after that conclusion I'm very seriously considering moving to Texas immediately. Or maybe it's time for Greenville after all...
Thank you Rae for this community forum and happy Friday to all. This week’s episode is simply too inspiring for me to remain silent. I believe their conversation is touching on the same underlying issues and principles as at the Summit re: “suicide of the west”.
Especially the analysis leading up to minute 20, just absolutely remarkable. 👏
So please bear with me here as I remark…
I’m glad he’s optimistic today, but after outlining the issues quite well, Chamath’s solution attitude is directionally wrong. THIS IS a major issue and the tech companies’ social programs, whatever they are, will NOT be able to solve the underlying cultural and political rifts… Even if we build a bunch of nuclear plants and put AI libraries for all on the top floors.

I am building the protocol to unite this discourse and create a lightning rod for change. None of the besties, unfortunately, have a solution other than for themselves to continue being spokespeople for capitalism. I applaud their efforts, truly.
They will never stop, because the marketplace of ideas has them in its grip. They are a required, hilariously self-financed vector against the $B of "AI doomer" narrative etc. As they are discussing, it’s hard to quantify stories and cultural change... Especially when they cannot get past the ad-hominem.
However, they don’t have any specific solution to the underlying cultural problem. I believe it would be very nice for them to have some figure to point at and just say, “hey audience, if you’re confused, go talk to that guy to learn more.” Unfortunately Elon isn't accessible for the lay person to have conversation with and Grok isn't a real substitute (yet).
Charlie Kirk may have been the best candidate for a “go talk and debate” person as product... He was an amazing opener of the Overton Window, but just slightly too wide for what I’m envisioning, and why the Besties have not yet found such a pointy thing. It was a tragedy to lose him, doubly impactful when the news came to me in LAX as I returned from the summit in September.
But indeed there has never been a project in history, as Capitalism Unlocked. Or a moment, quite like now.
Welcome to the future y’all. Come hang with me in Zaltiva and be the change you want to see in the world.
