Type-3 Fun

A highlight of my Tahoe experience for the past couple weeks has been jogging five miles every day or two, minus the past couple snowy ones.

Running through the woods has been quite meditative on the whole. I may return home tired, but I feel alive and focused afterwards.

The altitude here being higher than Denver adds a layer of difficulty. The other day, I noticed myself so exhausted on the way back that I only had two thoughts: rest and &U.

Physically demanding exercise is a proxy for electing to do something really hard with your life, which no sane person would do, simply because you must. Phu calls his challenging couple years acclimating to the US "type III fun".

Somehow, it's comforting to know my dying body wishes to save itself, and hopefully achieve my life mission as extra credit, before keeling over.
